Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said a body had been found in Lake Ontario.
It said a call reporting the find of human remains at Oshawa lakefront came in at 10:35 am.
Officers from DRPS Central East Division were dispatched to the scene.
DRPS said the “investigation ongoing but does not appear to be suspicious at this time”.
Apparently, the body has been identified as a police tweet said “next of kin to be notified and post-mortem to be completed”.
DRPS did not release any further details till last night but promised “more info to come”.
