A large truck collision took place on Highway 407 Eastbound in Whitby around 2pm on April 22, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
It was a single vehicle collision into the crash cushion, said the OPP Highway Safety Division.
The driver was injured and was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre with non-life-threatening injuries.
All lanes of Highway 407 E at Thickson Road were closed while the investigation and clean-up were taking place.
Later, both lanes of the highway were re-opened with two off ramp lanes still closed for emergency repairs, said the OPP.
