Update: Female pedestrian’s life in danger, was hit by SUV

Durham police have released more information regarding a pedestrian who is fighting for their life after being struck by a vehicle.

On Tuesday, April 21, around 1:25 pm, members of West Division responded to a pedestrian involved collision in the area of Brock Road and Dellbrook Avenue.

We now know that the vehicle was a Nissan SUV; travelling northbound on Brock Road in Pickering. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was uninjured.

The female pedestrian is still at a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed while the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit attended to conduct an investigation. This collision is still under investigation.
