Man arrested for indecent act near school play area

Durham Police yesterday said a male has been arrested after he was seen committing an indecent act near a public school in Whitby.

On Tuesday, January 23 at about 12:05 pm, members of Central West Division responded to a sex offence call in the area of Crawforth Street and Pringle Drive, in Whitby.

Public-school staff observed a male committing an indecent act in his vehicle near the school playground, while children were outside for lunch. Police arrived on scene and arrested the male without incident.

The suspect, age 40 from Whitby was charged and released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
