Durham police yesterday said a male is facing charges after he assaulted two males and a female in unprovoked attacks in Bowmanville in the Municipality of Clarington.
On Tuesday, April 28 at about 7:40 am, members of East Division responded to an assault call in the area of Mearns Avenue and Apple Blossom Avenue. Police received multiple reports that an unknown male had assaulted three persons separately in unprovoked attacks. Officers located the male on foot in the area and took him into custody without incident.
The victims, a 19-year-old male, 21-year-old female, and 50-year-old male, suffered minor injuries, police said.
The suspect, age 24 from Clarington, was charged. Police did not say if he was held for a bail hearing or let go on an undertaking. Name and further details are available at www.drps.ca.
