Durham Police yesterday said a 46-year-old male from Oshawa has been arrested and charged with 30 offences relating to thefts and breaches of court orders.
On Friday, June 21, members from the Central East Division Criminal Investigation Branch concluded an investigation involving a male who is currently out on three separate release orders.
The male, who is well-known to police, committed numerous offences across Durham Region while on probation. There were a total of eight separate incidents that resulted in 30 charges being laid, said a police report.
The offences consisted of the accused attending gyms/community centres where he broke into lockers stealing wallets, vehicle keys, and other personal belongings. He broke into several vehicles and used the stolen credit cards at various retailers.
Members of the Offender Management Unit (OMU) located the accused and he was arrested without incident.
He has been charged and was held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
