Fail grade for teacher late for class doing double the speed

DRPS Traffic Services pointed out that when a substitute teacher is late for class and decides that 102km in a 50kmh [zone] is an appropriate speed, needless to say, this driver (top image) ended up with a failing grade.

It said charges were laid, the vehicle was impounded for 14 days, and the driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days.

The incident happened in Pickering late last week.

Speeding Home

In another alert, DRPS Traffic Services said another driver was stopped, also for speeding at 102kmh, again in Pickering.

They say ignorance is bliss, but not when you’re stopped for 102kmh in a posted 60kmh zone,” said the police.

The driver’s 30-day licence suspension, and a 14-day vehicle impoundment became the reality along with charges.

The motorist said they were speeding home.

Emotional Outburst

DRPS West Division DRPS also stopped a driver for stunt driving southbound on Whites Road and Bayfield Street which is a 50 kmh zone with Dunbarton High School at the next intersection.

Even with the driver’s emotional outburst, the motor vehicle (below) was impounded, driving licence suspended and several summons issued, said police.

Stopped for Plates, Arrested for…

West Division police yesterday pointed to reason 1006 to renew your licence plates: If you are wanted by police for criminal offences, you may not want extra attention from our members.

This driver (below) was arrested on outstanding warrants – but was stopped for his expired plate.

Visit @ServiceOntario to renew today, said the police.
