Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) issued 20 seatbelt fines in one spot in one day near a school in Clarington.
It was part of a Seat Belt Blitz by DRPS East Division officers yesterday at Charles Bowman Public School in Bowmanville.
The officers issued 20 provincial fines for child or adult failing to wear seat belts.
Each offence carries a fine of $240 and two demerit points, they informed.
Meanwhile, East Division officers had been out on foot patrol in Downtown Bowmanville on Sunday (image below).
