Oshawa man stabs male partner in domestic row

A male is in custody after he stabbed another male during an altercation in Oshawa.

On Thursday, August 8, at about 1:40 pm, members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call at a residence in the area of Taylor Avenue and Harmony Road South. Two males were involved in a verbal altercation which resulted in one of the males being stabbed. Officers arrived on scene and administered life-saving measures to the victim. The suspect was located a short distance away and taken into custody without incident.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition.

The parties involved are in a domestic relationship and there are no concerns for public safety.

A 34-year-old male from Oshawa is charged with Aggravated Assault.

He was held for a bail hearing.
