Meet the 10 finalists for Durham Police Chief-for-a-Day

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) has been busy informing students across Durham who have been selected as the finalists for this year’s Chief-for-a-Day competition.

Last but not least finalist is Jason from St Hedwig Catholic School who plans on becoming a police officer. This week DRPS members and PADAN committee will meet to review submissions and select our next mini-Chief.

One of the finalists was Connor, who hopes to join DRPS K9 unit one day. This finalist from Charles Bowman Public School was kind enough to invite his twin brother to join in on the fun with Cst Puckrin.

Another finalist is Alea from Ecole Catholique Corpus Christi who had some questions for Cst. Puckrin. “Do you ever get called in on your day off?” It does happen Alea! Congrats on being selected as a finalist, was the answer.

Izzy, a DDSB Virtual Home student and one of the finalists was super excited to meet two police officers! Congrats Izzy!

Sofia from Walter E Harris public school was very excited to meet Cst Puckrin and accept her finalist swag this morning. Congrats Sofia!

Joziah’s smile says it all! He is thrilled to be selected as a finalist in the Chief-for-a-Day contest. Congrats Joziah of Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic School!

With dreams of one day joining the DRPS tactical unit, Matias was thrilled to be recognized as a finalist. DRPS visited him at St. Monica Catholic School and he had lots of questions for Cst Puckrin. Congratulations Matias!

Finalist Anuva from Alexander Graham Bell Public School asked Cst Puckrin her favourite thing about being a police officer. Cst Puckrin explained that meeting new people everyday is the best part of the job.
