New leash-free dog area coming up in Ajax

The Town of Ajax yesterday announced that the asphalt trail at Miller’s Creek Park is scheduled for repair starting May 13, with completion by June 14.

Additionally, a new leash-free dog area will be constructed within Millers Creek Park, situated next to the skate park, the town said.

It asked residents and vistors to be be aware that the specified park access location will be inaccessible during this period.

  • Access to the pedestrian bridge at 275 Westney Road will be closed off.
  • Access from the catwalk between 100 and 102 Cornwall Drive will be closed.
  • Access from Chapman Drive will be unavailable at the south side of the southern baseball field.
  • Access from the west side of the parking lot south of McLean Community Centre will be closed.
