Newtonville shooting: One held, warrants for two others

Durham Police said a 20-year-old male has been arrested in relation to a shooting in Newtonville last June.

On June 19 at about 1:45 am, members from East Division were dispatched to an armed person call in the area of Newtonville Road and Concession Road 4, said a police statement.

Officers arrived on scene and located two males suffering from gunshot wounds. A third male was grazed by a bullet. The two males were taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

While officers were on scene investigating a fourth male attended a local hospital suffering from stab wounds. He has since been transported to a Toronto trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect from Oshawa was charged.

Warrants have been issued for another 20-year old of No Fixed Address, and a 19-year old of Clarington in relation to this incident.
