One injured in fight in Oshawa, suspect absconding

Durham Police are looking to identify a suspect after a 30-year-old male suffered injuries in a fight.

On Thursday, August 3 at about 2:20 pm, members of Central East Division were called for an active fight at a residential complex in the area of Simcoe Street South and Bruce Street in Oshawa.

Upon entering the building, officers located the victim, who appeared to have been sprayed with a mace like substance and had injuries to his head. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.

Police are looking for anyone who has information or video footage, including dash cam, to please come forward.
