The Act aims to make Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers, said a city statement.

  • The 2021 list includes 160 employees who are members of International Association of Fire Fighters Local 465; 69 management employees; 45 non-union employees; nine employees who are members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 251; one employee who is a member of the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 250; and one member of council.
  • Overall, the city has a net decrease of two employees on the 2021 Public Sector Salary Disclosure List compared to 2020.

The Act applies to organizations such as the Government of Ontario, Crown agencies, municipalities, hospitals, boards of public health, school boards, universities and colleges, Ontario Power Generation and other public sector employers who receive a significant level of funding from the provincial government.
