On April 1 at about 3:55 pm, members of West Division were called to a residence on Bowles Drive to a reported stabbing. When they arrived, they found a male and female victim at the residence who were transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, said a police statement.
An 18-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The female victim is in stable condition. The accused was arrested at the scene. This is an isolated incident and there is no concern for public safety.
This is Durham’s fourth homicide of 2022.
A 22-year-old Ajax male is charged with 2nd Degree Murder, Attempted Murder and Aggravated Assault.
