Durham police say a 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that left two people injured in Oshawa last weekend.
On Saturday, August 16, around 1:30 pm, officers were called to the area of Albert Street and Albany Street, where two people were found injured on the sidewalk. Police determined both victims had been stabbed. They were taken to hospital, where they remain in stable condition.
Investigators identified a suspect and issued an arrest warrant. Early Wednesday morning, August 20, at about 2:25 am, officers responding to a suspicious person call in the area of Simcoe Street South and Olive Avenue located the suspect. He was arrested without incident.
A 32-year-old male, of no fixed address, was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
