City of Oshawa announced that it has received an application relating to a proposal to build 167 apartment units in an 11-storey building on Bloor Street.
The development required an amendment to change the zoning designation for lands generally located at 121, 125, and 131 Bloor Street East.
The proposal calls for an 11-storey mixed-use building on the site. The new development will include 167 apartment units and 90.95 square metres of commercial space on the ground floor.
In addition, the by-law introduces site-specific regulations regarding increased building height and density, reduced parking, and reduced front, side, and rear yard depths for sections of a building exceeding 13.0 metres in height.
Oshawa officials noted that all written and oral submissions received by the city were carefully considered before this decision was made. See map below showing the location of the lands affected by By-law 28-2025.
