Plan for detached homes at Old Simcoe Road

Embee Residential has applied to build 11 single detached dwelling lots at 13766 Old Simcoe Road and Prince Albert.

The development requires a zoning by-law amendment, said a statement from the Township of Scugog.

The subdivision proposes to extend Bonnie Brae Court out to Old Simcoe Road. The Zoning By-law Amendment application is proposing to rezone the subject lands to Urban Partial Service Residential (R3) to permit residential dwelling units, it said.

The township is calling a virtual public meeting to debate the proposal on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 6:30pm.

It said residents can watch the meeting live streamed via the Township of Scugog’s official YouTube channel or participate electronically by contacting the township. The Council Chambers will not be open to the public.

The Region of Durham has received an application for a Draft Plan of Subdivision, while the Township of Scugog has received an associated Zoning By-law Amendment Application to amend Zoning By-Law 14-14 on the lands at 13766 Old Simcoe Road, as shown on the attached key map.
