Police arrest ride-share driver following sexual assault

A ride-share driver has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault investigation, according to Durham Regional Police.

On Saturday, May 3, officers from the Central West Criminal Investigations Branch concluded their investigation into an incident involving a ride-share passenger. Police say the victim was seated in the front passenger seat of a red Mitsubishi SUV with Ontario licence plate CZKL 975 when the driver allegedly touched her inappropriately.

A 43-year-old male from Whitby was charged and released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
