New threat forces police back a third time to school

Police had to respond for a third time to a threat made against Uxbridge Secondary School in recent days, according to Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).

It yesterday said officers from its North Division attended Uxbridge Secondary School this [Thursday] morning to investigate a threat made on social media.

“The investigation is ongoing, will provide updates when information becomes available,” said the police.

The school has been subject to threats twice before.

On January 2, investigators from North Division were made aware of a planned threat to Uxbridge Secondary School. A 15-year old from Scugog area was charged.

Then again on January 10 police had to respond to rumours of another threat against the school.
