No truth in rumours of new threat to school: police

There is no truth in rumours about a fresh threat made against an Uxbridge school, said officers from Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) North Division.

“While there are limited details that can be shared publicly, rumours began today [January 10] about another threat to Uxbridge Secondary School,” said the police.

“These have been thoroughly investigated and were found to be untrue. There is no new threat to the school,” it added.

Last week a 15-year old from Scugog area was charged with making threats against the same school in Uxbridge.
