Durham Police are searching for two male suspects after a 30-year-old man was shot and killed in a parking lot in Oshawa.
Last March 30 at about 8:25 pm, members of Central East Division responded to a shooting in a parking lot near King Street West and Park Road, in Oshawa. The victim, 30-year-old Michael Nigris, was leaving Cash Connections, his place of work when he was shot. Life-saving measures were performed; however, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Police do not believe this was a targeted attack.
The suspect responsible for the shooting fled in a stolen black Ford F150 Raptor that was subsequently recovered shortly after on Dundee Avenue in Oshawa. Both Air1 and K9 attended the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The second suspect has ties to the stolen Ford F150 Raptor. Both suspects have been linked to the Lawrence Avenue West and Keele Street area in Toronto, said a police statement.
