Police track down in a day man who molested a woman

A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault in Oshawa, according to Durham police.

On Monday, April 22, officers from Central East Division responded to a report of a sexual assault near Dean Avenue and Sedan Crescent. Police say the suspect approached a woman who was walking along the street and touched her inappropriately before fleeing the scene.

Thanks to a detailed description of both the suspect and a silver Nissan Rogue he was driving, officers were able to track him down later that same day. The arrest was made without incident at a residence in the Harmony Road and Rossland Road area.

Police say the victim was not physically injured.

A 25-year-old male from Oshawa was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
