Durham police yesterday said a 53-year old woman has stabbed and seriously injured a 19-year old female in a road rage fight in Oshawa.
The suspect is facing charges after stabbing another female multiple times.
On Wednesday, July 1, at around 7:20 pm, members of Central East Division responded to a stabbing in the area of Lakeview Park and Simcoe Street.
Bear Spray Used
A 53-year-old woman was involved in a road rage altercation with a 20-year-old man and 19-year-old woman. The 20-year-old man and 19-year-old woman deployed bear spray after the suspect brandished a knife.
The suspect subsequently stabbed the woman multiple times before fleeing the area. Officers arrived on scene and provided medical care before the victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre in serious but stable condition.
A short time later officers located the suspect and took her into custody without incident.
