Scugog construction projects and traffic flow

The Township of Scugog has contracted Dufferin Construction to rehabilitate three streets.

These include:

  1. Coryell Street between Regional Road 6 and River Street, as well as
  2. Devitts Road between Regional Road 57 and Cartwright East ¼ Line and
  3. McLaughlin Road between Highway 7A and Edgerton Road

All of these projects are to begin in May and expected to be completed by the beginning of July, weather permitting. A final application of Slurry Seal will be completed in September. Work to include removal of the existing surface, ditching, driveway culvert replacements or cleaning, new surface treatment or asphalt, seeding, and general boulevard restorations. Driveways will be reinstated in kind upon completion of the projects.

During the construction period, each road will be restricted to one lane of traffic as required. Access will be maintained to residences throughout construction with minor interruptions as equipment and processes pass your frontage.

If your driveway culvert is to be replaced as part of the project, the contractor will contact you ahead of replacing your culvert to ensure any vehicles are moved accordingly. If there is no answer at the door, they will commence with the work.

Project updates, traffic routes, and other pertinent information will be posted on the Township’s website under Township OfficeCurrent Projects, Road Construction Projects and Live and Play, Traffic Watch Map.
