Scugog to host free inclusive public skate event

The Township of Scugog, in partnership with North Durham Pride, will host an inclusive public skate on Sunday, February 9, at the Scugog Arena.

Sponsored by Durham Tourism, the event is free and open to all ages, aiming to foster community spirit and inclusivity.

  • Sunday, February 9
  • 12:30 pm to 1:50 pm

Location: Scugog Arena

The event will feature music, live entertainment, and local resources for families and youth. Participants are encouraged to wear bright and colorful attire to celebrate inclusivity.

Attendance Guidelines

  • Helmets are mandatory for children aged six and under and recommended for all skaters.
  • Children aged seven and under require adult supervision.
  • The event has a maximum capacity of 160 attendees, with admission on a first-come, first-served basis.
