A 28-year-old man has been arrested after fleeing from police in Oshawa, according to the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).
On Saturday, July 12, at around 9 am, officers from Central East Division responded to a call regarding a man slumped behind the wheel of a vehicle near Wilson Road South and Dean Avenue.
Police located the suspect vehicle traveling westbound on Dean Avenue and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to stop and fled the scene.
The suspect later collided with an unoccupied vehicle near Brest Court and Sedan Crescent. He then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Officers located him a short distance away and arrested him without further incident.
A 28-year-old man of no fixed address, was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
