Stabber at large, victim left in field with serious injuries

A man was stabbed multiple times in a field in Oshawa. Police are on the lookout for the suspect.

On Saturday, May 30, at around 5:00 am, members of Central East Division were on proactive patrol when they located a seriously injured male in the area of Simcoe Street North and Bond Street.

The victim suffered several stab wounds and was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre in serious but non-life-threatening condition.

Further investigation revealed that the stabbing had initially occurred in a nearby field, approximately one hour prior to police locating the male.

This investigation is ongoing.
