Durham police said a man is facing several firearm charges after the DRPS Gun and Gang Unit completed an investigation into road rage incidents.
Last February, investigators with the Gun and Gang Unit (GGU) began an investigation into a male suspect after it was reported that he pointed a firearm at two different motorists during separate road rage incidents.
On Wednesday, April 1, investigators with the Gun and Gang Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit (TSU), executed a search warrant at a residence in Courtice. A firearm with a prohibited over capacity magazine was located and seized. The suspect SUV involved in the road rage incidents was also located and confirmed to be stolen and re-vinned, police said.
At the time of his arrest, the accused was on three separate firearm prohibitions.
The 48-year old man from Clarington was held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Gun and Gang Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5800.
