This is what Durham Police officers also do…

Officers of the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) are trained to deal with pressure – or lack of it – in any situation while on duty.

Be it preventing petty to serious crime to law enforcement and maintaining law and order, officers have, in many instances, gone out of their way, above and beyond the call of duty, to save lives and help community members.

This was highlighted by DRPS yesterday in a picture story (above) entitled: No Pressure, No Problem.

Its officers from the Central West Division were on patrol when they saw a resident pulled over with a flat tire.

They stopped to lend a helping hand.

Road Crash

DRPS also announced a collision in Clarington yesterday.

“Road closure in Bowmanville for motor vehicle collision investigation at Regional Highway 2 and Clarington Boulevard intersection in all directions,” said a DRPS tweet.

“Traffic able to detour on Stevens Road between Green Road and Bowmanville Avenue,” it said.

Meanwhile, North Durham Traffic conducted speed enforcement along Brock Street in Uxbridge yesterday.
