Courtice intersection closes today till September 30

The Regional Municipality of Durham has announced an intersection closure at Baseline Road and Trulls Road in the Municipality of Clarington’s community of Courtice.

The closure begins today (June 13) and will last till September 30. Unfavourable weather may influence the work schedule, the region said.

It said the closure is to safely install a new watermain and sanitary sewer and to complete road reconstruction.

The region pointed out that Baseline Road remains closed between Cigas Road and Trulls Road. Trulls Road remains closed from Baseline Road to 150 metres north of the CP Rail tracks. This work is part of the Courtice Trunk Sanitary Sewer and Watermain Phase 3 and Baseline Road Reconstruction project.

The region said it realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
