Three arrested with $250,000 in drugs, cash

Durham Police investigators have arrested three suspects and seized a quantity of drugs and cash after concluding a drug investigation in Oshawa.

On February 19, investigators from the Central West Division Community Resource Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit and the North Division Community Resource Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on SteepleChase Street in Oshawa. During the search warrant, investigators seized approximately $50,000 in cash and $200,000 in drugs (cocaine, crystal meth, oxycodone).

Ahmad Fazel, age 23, of SteepleChase Street, in Oshawa is charged with: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x3; Trafficking a Controlled Substance and Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime. He was held for a bail hearing.

Morgan McTavish, age 19, of SteepleChase Street, in Oshawa is charged with: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x3 and Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime. She was held for a bail hearing.

Tanya Smiles, age 43, of SteepleChase Street, in Oshawa is charged with: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime. She was released on an Undertaking.
