Three men and two women held in two separate drug busts

Durham Police said a male and female are facing drug trafficking charges after they were found in possession of numerous drugs and drug paraphernalia in Oshawa.

On Wednesday, October 4, members of Central East Division Downtown Foot Patrol were conducting proactive policing in the downtown Oshawa area. While in the area of Bloor Street East and Merritt Street, officers observed a male and female acting suspiciously.

Upon further investigation officers located numerous drugs and drug paraphernalia. As a result, more than $49,000 worth of drugs were seized, said a police statement yesterday.

It said the 35-year old male and 44-year old female, both were charged and held for a bail hearing. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.

Durham Police also said two males and one female are facing drug trafficking charges after a search warrant was conducted at a residence in Oshawa.

On Wednesday, October 4, members of the Central East Division Community Response Team, with the assistance of the DRPS Drug Enforcement Unit and Gun and Gang Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at an address in the area of Vancouver Crescent and Gibb Street in Oshawa. A quantity of drugs were located and seized, along with cash, and drug paraphernalia.
