Woman burglar arrested for seniors home break-ins

A female has been arrested following an investigation into several break-and-enters that occurred at a seniors residence in Oshawa.

On Tuesday, September 5, members of Central East Division were called to a seniors residence in the area of Wilson Road North and Attersley Drive in Oshawa after it was reported that a female had entered an apartment and stole cash.

When confronted, the female suspect claimed to be a Personal Support Worker and had entered the wrong apartment. The female fled when asked to provide documentation confirming her identity, said a police statement.

Following an investigation, the female suspect was identified and arrested.

The 47-year old suspect from of Trenton was charged and held for a bail hearing.

Investigators are urging anyone who has encountered this female or had similar experiences to contact police. Her photo, name and further details can be viewed at www.drps.ca.
