Traffic Tales: Cat Walk + pleaded and cajoled to no avail

According to DRPS North Division, one driver tried to turn one of Durham roadways into a cat walk.

The person also had a lot more to answer for when caught on Main Street in Beaverton, in the Township of Brock.

“This rider (above) was charged with stunt driving – ‘cat walk’ and no licence on Main Street in Beaverton,” said a police alert.

“Also [he] had no plates, no insurance and more. The bike was impounded for 14 days,” police added.

Pleaded and Cajoled

Officers of West Division DRPS reported a stunt driving incident along Alexander Knox Road and Mulberry Lane in Pickering yesterday by another motorbike enthusiast.

“The motorcycle was stopped for almost double the speed limit!” police said.

“Regardless of the pleading and cajoling, the rider’s driving licence was suspended, motor vehicle impounded with multiple summons to court.”

Getting up Close

Meanwhile, North Division Traffic and friends at York Regional Police and Ontario Transport conducted a joint Commercial Motor Vehicle safety initiative in Beaverton yesterday.

Numerous inspections were carried out and charges were laid, police said.
