Two force entry, handcuff residents and rob $200,000

Durham Police yesterday said officers are looking for two male suspects after a home invasion on Monday in Oshawa.

On September 4 at about 3:30 am, members of East Division responded to an address on Raike Drive, after two unknown suspects, armed with a small black firearm and a Taser device, forced their way into a home.

The suspects handcuffed the occupant and stole approximately $200,000 worth of jewelry, cash, and household items. No physical injuries were sustained. Police, with the assistance of the K9 Unit searched the area but did not locate the suspects, said a statement.

Police are looking for two suspects, both are described as: male, Black, wearing black clothing and a balaclava.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have information about the suspects to come forward. Any witnesses with surveillance video in the area are also encouraged to come forward and speak with investigators.
