Durham Police investigators have laid charges against two male suspects in relation to a homicide in June of 2021.
On Wednesday, January 19, investigators from Major Crime – Homicide Unit arrested a 29-year old and a 30-year old, both from Toronto. Both individuals were charged with First Degree Murder.
On June 2, 2021, at approximately 12 am, members from West Division responded to a residence on Smith Lane for a male who had been shot. Officers attended the residence and located the victim who had been shot multiple times. He was taken to a trauma centre in Toronto with critical injuries and was later pronounced dead.
It was the second homicide of 2021.
