Two arrested but no charges… yet in fatal Pickering shooting

Durham Police homicide investigators were called to investigate a shooting that claimed the life of a 32-year-old male, who was found deceased inside a residence in Pickering on Monday.

On September 27 at about 11:30 pm, members of West Division were called to a townhouse complex after several shots were fired. A man was found with multiple gunshot wounds. Two occupants were located at the scene and taken into custody. The victim and the two occupants reside at the residence, police said.

Quinton McDonald, 32-years-old of Pickering, was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are no charges at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

This is Durham Region’s third homicide of 2021.

Earlier, police said the incident happened at Dragonfly Avenue.
