Durham police are searching for two suspects following a commercial robbery in Oshawa that resulted in an employee being assaulted.
According to police, the incident took place around 2 pm on Monday, June 30, at a beauty supply store near Ritson Road North and Adelaide Avenue East. Two individuals entered the store and began placing merchandise into a bag. When a store employee attempted to intervene, they were assaulted by the suspects and suffered minor injuries.
The pair fled the scene with stolen products and entered a black four-door sedan, though the make and model of the vehicle remain unknown.
Investigators have released the following descriptions:
Suspect #1 is described as a Black female, about 20 years old, 5’5” to 5’6” tall, with a slim build and long braided black hair. She was wearing a baseball cap, blue t-shirt, blue pants, and carrying a backpack.
Suspect #2 is described as a Black female, about 5’6” tall. She was wearing a hair bonnet, black top, multi-coloured leggings, and carrying a black bag.
