Controversial Councilor Lisa Robinson has fired another shot in her battle with Pickering Mayor Kevin Ashe and city council, accusing the mayor of punishing dissent.
“His latest proposal seeks to strip me, a female councillor and single mother, of my ability to serve Pickering by cutting essential budgets like phone, internet, car allowance and restricting my voice, after an already 9-month pay sanction,” said Councilor Robinson in the introduction to her latest video.
“This isn’t governance—it’s a calculated move to punish dissent, for exposing corruption, and suppressing democratic accountability,” she alleged.
“Will the council enable this blatant abuse of power on January 27th?” asked the councilor.
