Arrest warrant issued for New Year’s Eve murder suspect

Durham Regional Police have issued an arrest warrant for second-degree murder following the fatal shooting of a 29-year-old man in Oshawa.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 31, at about 2 pm. Police responded to reports of an armed individual at 1040 Cedar Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Dennis Binda, 29, of Oshawa, inside the building with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Monday, January 6, police issued an arrest warrant for a 44-year-old male on a charge of second-degree murder in connection with the case. Name, image of the suspect and further details available at www.drps.ca.
