Metrolinx is advising riders of significant service changes on both the Lakeshore East and Lakeshore West GO Transit lines this weekend, April 12–13, as crews complete critical track work to support future service improvements.
Lakeshore East: Partial Shutdown
From the start of service on Saturday, April 12, until the end of service on Sunday, April 13, Lakeshore East trains will operate only between Danforth GO and Durham College Oshawa GO, running every 30 minutes.
There will be no train service between Danforth GO and Union Station during the closure. Metrolinx is advising passengers traveling to or from Union Station to use the TTC for this portion of their trip.
- Passengers traveling to Union Station should exit at Danforth GO and walk north to Main Street subway station to continue their journey.
- Passengers traveling from Union Station should take the subway to Main Street station and walk south to Danforth GO to board their train.
Lakeshore West: Schedule Changes
GO Transit service on the Lakeshore West line will also be adjusted during the same weekend. Trains will operate hourly on a special schedule, departing at different times than usual.
The 4:57 pm train from Union Station on Saturday and Sunday will instead begin at Exhibition GO, departing at 5:05 pm and continuing its usual route from there.
Passengers connecting to Routes 12, 15, and 18 may experience connection delays of up to 49 minutes, Metrolinx said.
