A manhunt is underway after an armed robbery at a Whitby gas station early Wednesday morning, according to Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).
Officers from Central West Division responded to a call around 3:45 am on April 9 at a gas station located at 1519 Dundas Street East. Police say a man entered the store armed with a firearm and demanded cash, lottery tickets, and cigarettes from the employee.
The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash before police arrived. No physical injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a White male with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a green sweater, dark pants, and black shoes.
