What kind of playground do you want at Whitby parks?

The Town of Whitby is working on improving two if its parks – D’Hillier Park and Glenayr Park – and it wants to hear from you.

Now through July 31, visit connectwhitby.ca/DHillierPark to take a short survey about the type of playground equipment and proposed park design. D’Hillier Park is located at 99 McQuay Boulevard.

Planned improvements to the park include:

  • Replacing and redesigning the North playground area (closest to Resolute Crescent) with new equipment and surfacing
  • Asphalt resurfacing of the existing parking lot and driveway
  • Installing replacement LED lighting for tennis courts to meet usage demand
  • General improvements around the playground areas including additional seating

The town said feedback gathered will be used to inform the new playground and park design. Construction is expected to begin later this year.

Glenayr Park

The Town of Whitby is also working to replace the playground equipment at Glenayr Park, located at 55 William Stephenson Drive.

Now through July 24, visit connectwhitby.ca/GlenayrPark to take a short survey about the type of playground equipment residents would like to see. Keep in mind that the new playground equipment will need to fit within the existing layout and shape of the play areas.

Feedback gathered will be used to inform the new playground equipment. Construction is expected to begin later this year.
