Whitby man arrested for threatening victim with replica gun

A male has been arrested for pointing a firearm at a victim in Whitby.

On Tuesday, March 4, at about 2:40 pm, members of Central West Division said they responded to an armed person call in the area of Dundas Street West and Frances Street. It was reported that the suspect pointed a firearm at the victim and threatened to shoot them. The suspect fled the area before police arrived.

Officers were able to locate the suspect and arrested him without incident. The firearm involved is believed to be a replica.

A 37-year-old male, of No Fixed Address was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
