22-year old fighting for life after dirt bike crash

Durham Police yesterday said a male has life-threatening injuries after a dirt bike collision in Clarington.

A 22-year-old male from Clarington was riding a dirt bike through the CBM Burketon Pit when he lost control of the bike, resulting in life-threatening injuries.

On Monday, October 14 at about 11:40 am, members from East Division responded to a collision at the CBM Burketon Pit on Regional Road 57.

The male was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he remains with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) attended the scene and investigated the circumstances of the incident. This collision is still under investigation.

A few days ago, Durham Police said a 48-year-old female was seriously injured while riding her dirt bike in Clarington (see below).
