51-year old suspect caught in Simcoe Street stabbing

A 51-year-old male is facing several charges after a stabbing in Oshawa, said Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).

On January 31 at about 6:17 am, members of Central East Division responded to a stabbing incident near Simcoe Street and Bagot Street. Officers located a 40-year-old male with non-life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre and has since been released. The suspect fled on foot.

Following investigation, police have made an arrest in relation to the incident.
