52-apartments building planned in Oshawa

Oshawa has announced it has received an application to develop a site on Bond Street in Oshawa for a new six-storey apartment building containing 52 apartment units.

The application was submitted by DG Biddle and Associates on behalf of 184 Bond Oshawa Limited for lands at 184 Bond Street West, at the northwest corner of Bond Street West and Arena Street (see map below).

The purpose of the application is to amend Zoning by-law 60-94 to rezone the lands from PSc-a (Planned Strip commercial) to an appropriate site specific PSC-A Zone to implement the proposed development with site specific conditions to permit certain performance standards such as, but not necessarily limited to, increased residential density, lot coverage and building height, and reduced front yard, interior side yard and exterior side yard depths and required parking.

The application has been determined to be complete.

A Planning Act public meeting will be held regarding an application to amend Zoning By-law 60-94 (File: Z-2023-04), said a city statement.

It will be held on September 11 6:30 pm in the Council Chamber, Oshawa City Hall, 50 Centre Street South.
