7-month Project Quantum yields $40K, drugs and 3 arrests

Durham police has arrested three individuals and laid multiple charges after executing two search warrants in Pickering, marking the end of a months-long drug investigation.

On Thursday, June 12, the Durham Regional Police Service’s Drug Enforcement Unit, with support from the Gun and Gang Enforcement Unit, carried out the warrants as part of ‘Project Quantum’—a seven-month investigation targeting drug-related activity.

During the searches of a residence and a vehicle, officers seized over 1.1 kilograms of cocaine, quantities of heroin and fentanyl, two loaded magazines, and more than $40,000 in cash.

A 38-year-old male and a 35-year-old female, both from Pickering, as well as a 54-year-old male from Mississauga, have all been charged and held for a bail hearing.
