Durham Post does not know what is the attraction between hydro poles and Durham drivers, but several times each year, the twain do meet.
Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday had to close of King St E in both directions between Mearns Ave and Simpson Ave in Bowmanville after a vehicle struck a hydro pole.
It advised road users to “please avoid the area.”
Earlier, Durham Regional Police Service had to close Ritson Road between Bond St E and William St E in Oshawa for 6-12 hours while hydro repaired a pole that was struck in a collision.
Oshawa Power announced that a motor vehicle accident in the area of Bond & Ritson has caused major damage to one of the poles.
“No power has been lost and our crews are on scene to take care of the repairs. Please proceed with caution if you are in the area,” it said in a tweet.

just change your tune guys, you keep saying the same crap over and over.
You don’t have anything more important to write about or post instead you write this garbage that was an accident the driver had due to a medical issue
This is so distasteful. No one drives into a pole on purpose. We know he had health issues.
